Interventions

neuroFit’s Pathways system uses three tiers: a blue plan, an orange plan, and a magenta plan. If you need an intervention plan based around nFit, please contact us and we’ll design one together.

Blue plan describes stable periods of high performance that can be maintained for up to a period of up to two weeks. Measured using nFit, blue plan performance is defined as a period of steady or increasing nFit with no scores below the 5th percentile within the past three weeks. We hypothesize that blue plan intervals result from the integrated effect of lifestyle behaviors described below. Although blue plan can be theoretically be maintained for up to 19 days we enforce a shorter maximum duration to reinforce rest planning.

Orange plan is a light remediation plan, emphasizing the pillars of brain health: rest, nutrition, exercise, social interactions, stress management, and cognitive activity. For athletes and military, the rest, stress management, and nutrition aspects are most critical; exercise is generally not the limiting factor. While lifestyle behaviors may seem discrete and high-frequency (e.g., timescale of hours or days), we hypothesize that their integrated effects show up as weekly and monthly trends in nFit.

Magenta plan is an acute recovery period following a high-frequency drop that falls outside the scope of orange plan. The purpose is threefold: to prevent further insult or injury to the brain, to reduce operational risk associated with compromised performance, and to help identify the cause of the acute change.
